Martin County Board of Education Goals

1. All Martin County Schools will improve their composite proficiency rating by 5 percentage points and will make high growth status on the ABC's Accountability Program each year.

2. Martin County Schools will reduce the system's dropout rate to the lowest 15% of all school systems in North Carolina and will increase the number of students at Level IV on all End-of-Grade and End-of-Course tests by 7 percentage points each year.

3. 100% of the parents of students in grades 7 - 11 will participate in a parent/teacher/student conference to discuss course selections and the requirements of the high school courses of study each year.

4. The Board of Education will update the Martin County Board of Education Policy manual. The policies will be digitized and posted on the school system's web site.
